Term Dates

The kindergarten is operational during term only. We do not offer alternative care during term breaks.

• Term 1: 29 January* to 28 March (the first two days of term 1 are child-free as allocated by our workplace agreement)
• Term 2: 15 April to 28 June
• Term 3: 15 July to 20 September
• Term 4: 7 October to 20 December

Public Holidays

• Tuesday 5 November: Melbourne Cup

Centre Closure Date(s) for Performance Development

The centre will close for one – two day(s) for all-staff Professional Development. We will provide plenty of notice so impacted families can make alternative arrangements. In 2024, we will close on:

Friday 6 September to attend the Merri-bek Early Years Conference. 

Thursday 31 October to attend the Gender Expansion Workshop. 

Last Sessions for 2024

The Department of Education assigns the last day of term as child-free for pack-up and cleaning of the service.

All groups will finish on the second last session of term as follows: 

• 3yo Purple: Monday 16 December
• 3yo Crimson: Wednesday 18 December
• 3yo Orange: Thursday 19 December
• 4yo Green: Monday 16 December
• 4yo Red: Tuesday 17 December
• 4yo Blue: Wednesday 18 December
• 4yo Yellow: Thursday 19 December
